Youngstown Chase

Ready for something different? The Youngstown Chase is one of the most unique and entertaining sailing events on Lake Ontario. This pursuit-style regatta flips traditional racing on its head: instead of all boats starting together, each boat is assigned an individual start time based on its handicap rating. The goal is simple—be the first boat to cross the finish line.

Known for its competitive racing and legendary post-race parties, the Youngstown Chase brings together sailors from both sides of the lake for a weekend of fun, camaraderie, and great competition. Whether you're racing single-handed, double-handed, or with a full crew, every boat has a chance to chase down the fleet—or hold off those coming from behind.
