Meet our
Board of Directors
The Olcott Yacht Club is led by a dedicated Board of Directors, each bringing a passion for boating, community, and the long-standing traditions of our club. As volunteers, they work together to uphold our mission, support member engagement, and guide the club's operations and future development. Their leadership ensures that OYC remains a welcoming, active, and thriving home port for generations to come.

Commodore
Alan Rosenbaum
Alan has been a member for nine years and is serving his seventh year on the Board. He enjoys discovering the many talents of his fellow Board members and is a regular at Sail Past and on the racecourse. His very first boat ride was when his Danish parents immigrated to the U.S.—a fitting start for a lifelong sailor. Alan’s go-to drink is a Diet Coke with Dark Cruzan Rum, best enjoyed while sailing or socializing with fellow OYC members.

Vice Commodore
Pattie Schneider
Pattie has been a member for over 20 years and has served on the Board for more than five. She’s passionate about bringing new ideas to life and building a Club that future generations can enjoy. A seasoned traveler, she’s hiked Machu Picchu and Kilimanjaro and loves exploring new cultures. You'll find her racing at Sacca Sail, sipping champagne, and spending quality time with her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandson!

Rear Commodore
Sheila Flanagan
Sheila has been a member for five years and on the Board for three. She loves OYC traditions like the Commodore’s Ball and Junior Sailing fundraisers. Whether on the lake or the ski slopes, she’s all in for fun—especially with a vodka tonic and Friday Fish Fry!

Fleet Captain - Racing
Jocelyn Sikorski
A member for 25 years, Jocelyn has previously served as House Treasurer and returned to the Board in 2024 as Fleet Captain. She loves the camaraderie of the Club and racing in the Sacca Sail. A proud mom of two amazing daughters, her go-to drink is a Beefeater & Tonic with lime—and her goal this season is simple: sail more!

Fleet Captain - Junior Sailing
Elisa Schwarzkopf
Lissy has been part of OYC for 23 years and is in her first year on the Board. A Junior Sailing alum, she’s passionate about giving younger members a voice. Her son Lukah is often stretching his sea legs at the Club, and with a baby girl due in September, her pre-start beer will be the non-alcoholic variety this season!

Treasurer
Sue Cassidy
Sue has been a dedicated OYC member for 42 years, serving in nearly every Board role. She joined in 1983 through the Junior Sailing program—where she met her husband, Mark—and has loved racing ever since. Her family’s roots at OYC date back to the 1940s. Sue is passionate about preserving Club traditions. Sue’s looking forward to testing out her new knee on Thursday nights with the Ladies’ Race crew—and grabbing some Voodoo Wings after!

Secretary & Membership Chair
Doug Wintersteen
Doug first joined OYC in 1976 and is back on the Board for the first time in the 21st century. He loves the friendly vibe and still enjoys everything with live music—especially since he used to rock a cowboy hat and beard in his old band, Dealer’s Choice! These days, he’s all about good food, great music, and getting out on the water. His favorites? A fish dinner with dry wine, scotch, or a Yeungling draft.

Director, Special Projects
Chris Masters
Chris has been a member for four years and is in his second year on the Board. He’s passionate about making the Club feel like family and creating a welcoming atmosphere. New to racing, he’s enjoying learning the lake aboard his family’s new boat with his wife Anna and their five kids. His go-to order? A grilled chicken sandwich with a raspberry vodka and water.

Director, Assistant to the Vice Commodore
Taylor Sukdolak
Now in his second year at OYC and first on the Board, Taylor is excited to help update, upgrade, and elevate the Club experience. A former champion horseback rider turned racer, he’s passionate about creating a welcoming space for new members. His favorite events? Lobsterfest and Oktoberfest! You’ll likely find him with a Mich Ultra on tap or a citrus vodka soda (limes and lemons, please!)—and always ready to greet new faces at the Club.
