* Memberships in these two categories are non-voting.  If these members
choose to change membership to Senior, Senior/Dual or Associate they will be
charged the initiation fee same as new membership applicants for the
respective categories.

Initiation fess are as listed above plus applicable taxes.

Olcott Yacht Club is a self-help, working club and in an attempt to maintain low expense levels, members in the classifications of Senior, Senior/Dual, Associate and Intermediate are required to contribute a minimum of 10 hours PER YEAR of their time to maintain the building & grounds, equipment, staff special events, etc.  Un-worked hours are billed in accordance with Article 4, sect. 26 of the OYC constitution.

 

SENIOR membership at OYC is a voting membership and is required for those persons who have attained the age of thirty (30) years and who own or otherwise have constructive or beneficial possession of a boat exceeding 20 feet LOA based at or operating from Olcott or Wilson, or non-boat owners who choose to apply for Senior membership.

Privileges:

• Senior members, along with Senior/Dual and Life members, shall be entitled to ownership in and to the property and assets of the club
• May hold a position on the Board of Directors
• Shall have (3) votes at all membership meetings
• Shall have unlimited guest privileges for immediate families

Dues: $545 plus tax 

 

SENIOR/DUAL membership at OYC is a voting membership and shall be those who are otherwise eligible for Senior membership and who are in a spousal-type relationship (see Constitution for definition)

Privileges:

• Shall have all rights and privileges same as Senior membership except may not hold office on the Board of Directors simultaneously.
• Each Senior/Dual shall have (1 1/2) votes at all membership meetings which he/she must cast individually

Dues: $545 plus tax   

 

ASSOCIATE membership at OYC is a voting membership and shall be those persons who have attained the age of thirty (30) years and shall not own or otherwise have constructive or beneficial possession of a boat exceeding 20 feet LOA based at or operating from Olcott or Wilson.

Privileges:

• May hold a position on the Board of Directors
• Shall have (1) vote at all membership meetings

Restrictions:

• A monthly minimum of $25.00 shall be assessed

Dues: $325 plus tax 

 

INTERMEDIATE membership at OYC is a voting membership and is divided into two (2) classifications.

• INTERMEDIATE ‘ A’ - shall be those persons who have attained the age of twenty-one (21) years

and not yet the age of twenty-six (26) years.

Dues: $110 plus tax 

• INTERMEDIATE ‘ B’ - shall be those persons who have attained the age of twenty-six (26) years

and not yet the age of thirty (30) years. Senior or Associate membership shall then be acquired automatically.

Dues: $165 plus tax 

Privileges of both:

• May hold a position on the Board of Directors
• Shall have (1) vote at all membership meetings

 

JUNIOR membership at OYC is a voting membership and shall be those persons who have attained the age of sixteen (16) years and not yet the age of twenty-one (21) years.  Intermediate membership shall then be acquired automatically.

Privileges:

• May hold a position on the Board of Directors
• Shall have (1) vote at all membership meetings

Dues: $60 plus tax 

 

NON-RESIDENT membership at OYC is a non-voting membership and shall be those persons who otherwise qualified for membership, providing that within a 50-mile radius of the Club that person does not:

1) Conduct a business or is employed.

2) Reside or vacation for more than three (3) weeks during the open season of the Club.

3) Own, base, operate or otherwise have constructive or beneficial possession of a boat exceeding 20 feet LOA.

Dues: $200 plus tax

 

AFFILIATED membership at OYC is a non-voting membership and shall be those persons, otherwise qualified for membership, who are Senior/or equivalent members, in good standing, of a recognized Yacht/Boat club and whose boat is berthed outside Olcott Harbor.  Applicant's club shall have minimum of five (5) years accreditation.  Annual verification of membership shall be required with dues payment.

Privileges:

• Limited to full restaurant/bar privileges

Dues: $125 plus tax
